Day 4 – Walking tour in Sapa > Lunch at the village > train back to Hanoi
After we finished breakfast, we were picked up by the tour guide and started our 4-6 hrs walking tour.
The view outside of our room
Sapa town view
The Black H’mong women who followed us all the way to the village.
We started to see the rice terraces
I was quite glad to have the H’mong women to walk along with us. It was quite slippery & definintely not an easy hike to get to the village.
Our shoes became very muddy
Our H’mong tour guide – the lady in red jacket
There were some other minorities such as the red dao. We couldn’t get a photo of them as they charged for photo. All the minorities has amazing sales technique and they are super persistence in selling you their handcrafts. Even kids are well trained.
We had a quick bite at the restaurant near the train station in Lao Cai before taking the train. There was a guy who provide shoes cleaning services outside the restaurant. It took them about 5mins and 80% of the mud on your shoes would be gone. They were very efficient and charged only about US$1 per pair. I was very impressed.
Not looking forward to taking the train back to Hanoi again even with the flat bed…
